Avenues to Understanding disability awareness program.

Easter Seals Wisconsin is creating a statewide Caring Network of highly trained respite care providers who will have the required skills to provide in-home respite care for individuals with a variety of disabilities, including highly challenging behaviors, and basic medical and personal care needs.

Disability HelpLine

The HelpLine is located in Appleton, WI and is a service available to Outagamie County residents with disabilities. The services are provided through a trust established by the estate of Loretta K. Ricker

Post-Polio Support Group

The Madison Area Post Polio Support Group (MAPPSG) is an organization for polio survivors, spouses, family members and friends to build friendships, share polio related information and gain information from luncheon speakers.

Community Services

Easter Seals Wisconsin is committed to building community awareness and support for individuals with disabilities and the friends and family members who care about them. This assistance includes a resource data base of programs for people with disabilities, educational materials and printed literature, car seat loan program for children needing special needs restraints and support groups.

Easter Seals Wisconsin provides community services to all areas of the state through our disability awareness program (Avenues to Understanding), In-home respite provider training (Caring Network), Disability HelpLine of Outagamie County and Post-Polio Support Group.
